Loads of you have asked about my modelling days and wondered about my photos. I have posted a few of them on line here and there, but be warned, they are very much of their time – end of the 80s/start of the 90s so there is a lot of permed hair going on!
Back in the early 90s when I was a glamour model there was a lot of pressure to do magazine work too…. Any by magazine work I mean Penthouse, Mayfair etc. If a photographer got a contract to shoot a calendar (in the Caribbean or wherever) it was best from him to choose models who, whilst there would also be willing to do a magazine shoot ’on the side’, which he could sell separately to make extra money.
Now, despite being so naughty these days, back in my late teens I didn’t feel ready to take that final, legs akimbo(!) step so I never went further than doing ‘soft stuff’ – bums and boobs! But I don’t regret it because I honestly feel that was the right decision for me at that time even though it definitely limited how far I could go in the industry.
By now you probably know that I work hard at the gym and overall I am pretty happy with my figure despite being in my 50’s, but gosh I have to admit looking back at these photos I would love to be able to turn back the clock with the knowledge I have now – and of course the internet, which wasn’t around back when I started modelling – now that really does make me feel old!
